Illinois) as a research chemist (Nalco, Stepan Chemical). Love of variety
led to the legal profession (J.D. cum laude DePaul University) and IP (intellectual

female registered patent attorneys in firm practice in Chicago.
From the start Joan
specialized in the Intellectual property law fields of patents,
trademarks, copyrights and more, first as an Associate
Attorney with the Chicago IP firm of Brinks, Hofer, Gilson & Lione, and now
with her independent firm.
A life-long Chicagoan - middle child of five who now stretch from
the West Coast to the East Coast, and in between. The firm
currently sponsors her family genealogy website at
www.familyofnorek.com. Joan is active
in her community and loves her
city
neighborhood.
